R&B is back like it has never left, and Roc Nation’s newcomer Dixson is claiming 2021 as his year. His hometown’s culture and music heavily influenced the Atlanta native. He began producing at the age of 13 and playing the piano at his dad’s church. After believing in his talent, his parents went and bought him having equipment so he can begin teaching himself how to play various instruments. Eventually, he landed a spot on the Apollo in New York and left with a standing ovation from the audience.
In 2016, his career began to flourishing when he made an appearance on NBC’s The Voice, joining Pharrell Williams’ team, and he continued to build his relationship with the legendary singer/producer. Recently, Dixson released his single “KREAM,” in which a line from the song “Fountain Full of Divine Truth” connects with the listeners on how to treat and pleasure your lady.
Dixson sat down with Driune Santana to discuss working with Chance The Rapper, the release of his new EP “Darling,” and more!
