WondaGurl signs multi-platinum, Grammy nominated Canadian producer London Cyr to Wonderchild, a joint-venture with Sony Music Publishing and Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Publishing.
“I have been working with London for a few years now, and his talent speaks for itself. His character is a testament to his core values, and he puts in the hours that it takes to be a great producer. I am proud to have him on Wonderchild and continue our relationship,” said WondaGurl.
The prolific producer was the mind behind “No Surprise” with Young Thug featuring Don Toliver and BSlime off of Young Thug’s #1 Billboard album, ‘Slime Language 2,’ released through his label, YSL. His first ever major placement in 2018 was off of the Grammy nominated album ‘ASTROWORLD’ specifically the single “Can’t Say” and he followed up in 2019 producing “WHAT TO DO?” off of JackBoys and Travis Scott’s hit album ‘JACKBOYS.’ London understandably hasn’t slowed down since and has gone on to produce for the likes of Don Toliver, 6LACK, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Shy Glizzy, 88GLAM, Anders, Killy, and Dougie F.
London first broke into the industry DJing for Canadian artist Killy and eventually met and developed a working relationship with WondaGurl. That’s what initially landed him in all the right rooms to connect with the artists he works with today. Although a seemingly natural progression, he wasn’t always set on making music. Production was just a hobby for London at age 13 and he later felt compelled to “put music down” throughout high school. Post-graduation, he finally dove in head first to make his pipe dreams a reality. Only three short years passed between his high school graduation and producing on one of the most celebrated albums of this decade.
Known for his signature psychedelic sounds, London pulls inspiration from an eclectic mix of influences from movie scores to his own life experiences. He now resides in Los Angeles, working on several big projects to come in 2021.
